Report on the Implementation of Activities within the All-Russian Campaign "Attention, Children!" at MBOU Secondary School in Starokaypanovo and in Branches of Primary Schools in Novokaypanovo, Bul-Kaipanovo, and Mamataevo
in the 2016–2017 Academic Year

Within the framework of the All-Russian road safety preventive campaign "Attention, Children!" from August 15 to September 16, 2016, a set of activities aimed at preventing road traffic injuries was carried out in schools. The goal was to prevent road traffic injuries among students and included the following objectives: 1) to develop children’s understanding of streets and roads as potentially dangerous spaces requiring maximum attention and concentration; 2) to form knowledge, practical skills, and habits for safe behavior on the road and in transport; 3) to foster motivation throughout the educational process for responsible and conscious behavior on streets and roads, which affects people’s lives.         For conducting educational sessions under the motto "The Kind Road of Childhood," teachers developed scenarios and visual aids: images of traffic signs, traffic lights, didactic materials such as puzzles, crosswords, task cards, and more.

Contests and riddles help to remember the basics of road literacy. Rules of conduct on the roadway are mastered through games. This form makes boring theory quickly memorable. It is through play that younger students learned during events such as the contest program "Learning Traffic Rules with Song, Joke, and Game" (Primary School in Bul-Kaipanovo), quiz game "Traffic Rules Deserve Respect" (Primary School in Mamataevo), quiz "The Alphabet of Road Safety" (Secondary School in Novokaypanovo), sports and game program "Attention, Children," contest program "Green Light" (Secondary School in Starokaypanovo) knowledge about safe crossing of streets and roads was reinforced, and convictions about the necessity to follow behavioral norms and qualities such as discipline, attentiveness, and organization were instilled. The 9th-grade agitation team’s performance "Beware of the Car" was enthusiastically received by children, helping them to master traffic rules. All students actively participated in games conducted by the agitation team members, solved puzzles and riddles, completed team tasks, competed in sports relays, answered questions, and found correct solutions in simple and complex road situations.

During class hours for grades 8–11, a series of discussions was held: "Pedestrian Safety - Knowing Street Traffic Rules," "Student Daily Routine," "Beware of the Car," "Fire Safety at School and Home" (conducted by class teachers together with life safety teachers Ziyatdinov F.F. and Garifullin I.K.). Students demonstrated good knowledge of traffic rules and the ability to apply them in practice.
With students in grades 5–7, the topic "The Safest Way to School and Home" related to traffic rules was studied, and safe routes from home to school and back were created. Students received instruction on "Crossing the Street, Intersection" and participated in a discussion on "Bicycle Traffic Rules Compliance."

A drawing contest on the theme "The Road Through Children’s Eyes" was held among students. A five-minute discussion "The Way Home" was organized at the end of each school day in class. A wall newspaper was published, and a video clip on preventing road traffic injuries was shown.
Class hours were conducted covering issues concerning the observance of necessary measures to prevent undesirable consequences related to traffic rules violations, the necessity of acquiring reflective elements, restraining devices (children’s car seats) in vehicles, and more.
