There is no present without the past, and no future without the present. This is the law of development in life. If each generation were only satisfied with the material and spiritual wealth created by the previous one—or, on the contrary, completely rejected it—there would be no progress in life. Relying on the past, adopting and improving its achievements and traditions, and creating new things on their foundation is the primary condition for all types of development.
That is why, in recent days, creative lessons and events have been held at our Iske Qaipan School to commemorate the 190th anniversary of the birth of Ghali Soqoroy and the 155th anniversary of the birth of Gharifulla Keyekov. Students of 5th and 6th grades got acquainted with the contents of research works written about the life and creativity of these two individuals.
Their works were read in literature and culture classes. Materials collected in the classroom were reviewed and updated. We watched presentations and video films about the life and work of Ghali Soqoroy and listened to recorded poems.
We staged a scene titled “Ray of Light” based on the life of historian, poet, and educator Gharifulla Keyekov.
Fostering a love for learning and knowledge through the creative example of the scholar. There are few works dedicated to the literary legacy of the writer, great scholar, historian, poet, and educator Ghali Soqoroy and his son Gharifulla Keyekov. Therefore, studying their work is very important today. The writers' deep knowledge of the people's history and their calls for enlightenment, education, and learning remain highly relevant in the present day.
