Material and Technical Support and Equipment for the Educational Process, including Adaptations for Use by Disabled Persons and Persons with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The educational institution is located in an adapted building constructed in the 19th century. The building is in satisfactory condition.
The school maintains appropriate lighting and temperature conditions.
The school has material and informational resources that ensure the organization of all types of student activities, complying with sanitary-epidemiological and fire safety regulations and standards.
For organizing the educational process, the following are used:
23 classrooms, including 8 for primary grades;
workshops: carpentry and sewing;
a classroom for special education teachers;
5 classrooms equipped with automated workstations (multimedia projector, laptop, interactive whiteboard, student laptops, voting system, laboratories, etc.);
an informatics classroom with a terminal class and all-in-one PCs;
a comprehensive biology classroom;
classrooms for history and social studies, physics, biology-chemistry, geography, music; mathematics classroom, Russian language and literature classroom equipped with computer technology and Internet access;
2 sports halls, a gym complex;
sports ground;
football field;
sports town;
library and reading room;
assembly hall;
leisure room;
100% provision of textbooks, including special textbooks for students with SEN;
updated and supplemented software and information resources;
licensed medical office;
school cafeteria;

Meals are organized through the school cafeteria. Hot breakfasts are provided for students in three 15-minute breaks according to a schedule. Free two-meal nutrition is provided for disabled children and children with SEN. Nutrition is provided based on the Regulation on the Provision of Nutrition for Students of Municipal Educational Institutions of the Makaryevsky Municipal District of the Kostroma Region, approved by the Resolution of the Administration of the Makaryevsky Municipal District No. 106 dated 27.06.2016, with amendments from 30.01.2017 (Resolution No. 8). The coverage of hot meals in the past academic year was 87%.

Medical services are provided by a paramedic under a contract with the OGBUZ "Makaryevskaya RB."

Ensuring the safety of the educational process at the school is achieved through a combination of educational, administrative-economic, and security measures.
The school has fire extinguishing equipment in accordance with standards, as well as basic personal respiratory protection equipment. An emergency evacuation plan is posted on each floor.
An automatic fire alarm system is installed.
The wooden ceiling beams of the attic have been treated with a special composition.
Nighttime school security is provided by a guard, while during lessons, technical staff on duty are responsible.
The institution has panic alarm systems installed. The school is fenced around the entire perimeter.
Video cameras are installed on the premises.
The regulatory framework for safety includes safety instructions (available in all classrooms), school orders, and safety logs. The school building is not equipped with ramps; the institution lacks specially equipped cloakrooms and restrooms.

Material and technical support for educational activities ensures the possibility of:

  • implementing adapted educational programs based on individual educational plans;

  • involving students with SEN in socially useful activities;

  • physical development of students with SEN, their regular physical education activities and participation in sports and health-improving events, if there are no contraindications;

  • lessons on traffic rules using games, equipment, and computer technologies;

  • providing students with developmental delays access to Internet resources, educational and fiction literature;

  • providing teachers and parents access to scientific and methodological literature related to education of students with delayed mental development.

Material and technical support for the correctional program ensures the possibility of:

  • conducting initial, ongoing, and final diagnostics according to the correctional program (set of diagnostic methods and consumables);

  • using modern educational and developmental computer programs;

  • using psychocorrectional technologies to stabilize the emotional state of students with SEN, correct potentially maladaptive personality traits, and reduce delays in psychosocial development (necessary equipment and consumables);

  • using video accompaniment of studied (reinforced) educational material (presentations, educational content).

For students with SEN, an accessible environment has been created that allows perceiving the maximum amount of information through audio-visual sources:

  • conveniently located and accessible stands displaying visual materials about internal school behavior rules, safety rules, the institution’s schedule/regime, class schedules, recent school events, upcoming plans, etc.;

  • accessible Internet and a telephone intended for communication with parents, peers, and teachers.

The organization of the working space for a student with SEN in the classroom ensures the choice of desk and partner, classroom equipment with multimedia devices (board, projector, computer with Internet access, means for storing and transferring information such as USB drives, printer, scanner), and visual aids.
