The head of the school methodical association for English, I.V. Muratov, will organize an English language competition "Interview" from January 23 to February 6. The competition aims to encourage middle school students to independently create short foreign language speech situations outside the classroom, as well as to promote communication in a relaxed environment in a foreign language.
The competition is held in the following categories:

Family relationships, relationships with peers.

Conflict resolution.

Appearance and character traits.
-
Leisure and hobbies (reading, theater, cinema, music, museums).

Youth fashion. Shopping.
-
Healthy lifestyle.
-
Education, school life, subjects.
-
Correspondence with foreign peers. Holidays.
-
Professions. English in choosing a profession.
-
Nature. Environmental issues. Environmental protection.
-
Mass media and communication.
-
English-speaking countries and the native country. Sights and cultural features (holidays, customs, and traditions).
Participants of the competition.
The competition is open to students from grades 5 to 11, divided into three age categories: grades 5-7, grades 8-9, and grades 10-11.
Competition conditions.
The competition accepts pre-recorded video interviews in English, in any format.
The participants of the interview are one or more correspondents and one or more interviewees.
The interviewer asks questions and receives answers.

Students in grades 5-7 must ask at least 3 questions and receive the same number of answers.

Students in grades 8-9 must ask at least 4-5 questions and receive answers. The duration of the dialogue should be at least 2.5 to 3 minutes.

Students in grades 10-11 must ask at least 6-7 questions and receive answers.
Evaluation and awarding.
The competition jury will accept and evaluate the works of participants within the established deadlines. The winner in each category will be determined based on the results. The winner will be awarded a diploma.
