This post is written as a special thanks to my beloved school! THE SCHOOL IS 25 YEARS OLD!
This content is recommended for everyone who received invaluable knowledge and skills at School #2 in the town of Makaryevo.
Especially for the graduating class #...
I was incredibly happy to see our classmates (1/4 of the class unexpectedly gathered and arrived). They have grown up so much, looking beautiful, determined, and focused. Each of them had their own fascinating life story. Listening carefully, I even forgot for a second that we are already in 2018 and not in 2010. Thank you, guys, for sharing the most important, interesting, and personal moments! I hope that we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of our graduation (in 2020) with a full turnout.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to our teachers for the warm welcome and such a heartfelt, original, and unforgettable concert, and to the cooks for those same school buns and “webs”. And, of course, a huge thanks to our homeroom teacher.
Raissa Evgenievna, we remember everything and are endlessly grateful to you!!! Wishing you health for many years, patience, and strength!

By the day, guests were already awaited at the walls of the beloved School #2! The school had never been decorated like this before – with many balloons, ribbons, and flowers, photos from every graduation year, albums of former students, which allowed us to learn where each of us continued our education or where we work, and of course, the board of medalists!
It was pleasant to see that the school had undergone cosmetic repairs – it had become brighter and cozier. I entered my old class, spoke with the homeroom teacher, and some teachers who had worked so hard for us and are now passing on knowledge to the new students.
The anniversary was organized excellently – after registering more than 130 alumni, we were able to meet with our teachers and classmates in our native classroom, and later, there was a wonderful concert – so many performances from the teachers, their students, and alumni! Every graduation from the very beginning of the school’s existence was remembered, as well as teachers and students who, unfortunately, are no longer with us. There were many gifts, awards, and performances to modern music, presentations with photos and videos. Teachers were much more active in the performances!
I’m so glad I attended this celebration! And do you know what the most pleasant thing was? We, the alumni, were awaited there with warmth and affection! Just imagine how much effort, imagination, and love went into organizing this evening!
Know that we will always be remembered at our beloved school, and we will always be welcomed back! THANK YOU! Wishing you success!!!

It so happened that the time chosen for my visit to my parents coincided with two events: a ceremonial event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the district newspaper "Makaryevskiy Vestnik", for which my father is a correspondent, and the 25th anniversary of my beloved Makaryevo Secondary School #2, where I received my education for 10 years, and where my mother worked all those years as an English teacher, then as a deputy director for educational work, and before our graduation in 2010, she became our homeroom teacher.
Both concerts were wonderful!
The 100th anniversary of the newspaper was celebrated at the city administration. In the festive hall, everyone involved in the newspaper's creation, distribution, and readership gathered. All editorial members were awarded honorary diplomas and thank-you letters from the Makaryev Municipal District.
But what became particularly magical and unforgettable was the visit to the school.
Undoubtedly, the preparation for the anniversary was thorough, and the concept was grand!

The first thing that catches your eye is the interesting decoration of the entire school. On the walls, there were photos of the now grown-up alumni, each with a signature indicating the year of graduation, their current place of work, and position. Looking at these photos fills you with pride! For yourself, your classmates, acquaintances, and just fellow townspeople…
The school bell rings, inviting alumni to the class hour, which was thought out in detail by our wonderful homeroom teacher Raissa Evgenievna.
Meeting with classmates, tea with our favorite pastries in the school cafeteria – and you’re already back in your carefree school days...
The cherry on top was the incredible festive concert! It was simply a bomb! No one had ever seen our teachers like this!
