The Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements (FIPI) has published samples and descriptions of the All-Russian Verification Works (VPR) for 11th grades in biology, geography, history, chemistry, and physics.
VPR in 11th grades are intended to assess the educational preparation of graduates who studied the school course of the respective subject at a basic level.
The content and level of the VPR tasks for the 11th grade take into account the fact that these works will be completed by graduates who do not plan to take the Unified State Exam (EGE) in the respective subject. Therefore, the VPR will include the most significant and important elements for the general educational preparation of graduates in each subject, including necessary knowledge for every citizen about the history of Russia, concepts of a healthy and safe lifestyle, and understanding of natural processes and phenomena.

Priority is given to tasks with free responses in the form of a number, word, several words, and tasks with detailed answers that require writing a coherent text of several sentences. Contextual tasks are widely used, where part of the information needed to answer the question is provided within the text of the task.
When completing the VPR, the use of various reference materials is allowed (for example, atlases for geography, reference tables for physics and chemistry). All VPR are designed to be completed within 90 minutes.
The content of the VPR is based on the Federal State Educational Standard (FSES) of secondary general education and partially includes material from basic school for certain subjects (for example, questions about the geography of Russia, questions from the "Human and His Health" section in biology).
Draft samples of the VPR variants and descriptions for 11th grades have undergone expert review and received positive feedback from associations of teachers and instructors of biology, geography, history, chemistry, and physics.
In 2017, VPR will be conducted for 11th-grade graduates in a trial mode. According to the schedule approved by Rosobrnadzor, they will take place from April 25 to May 18, 2017. The organization of VPR is aimed at forming a unified educational space in the Russian Federation. Test variants and the assessment system are developed at the federal level and should provide an opportunity to evaluate students' learning outcomes according to unified criteria.
The results of the VPR will not be taken into account when assigning annual grades in subjects or when receiving the certificate of secondary general education. Participation of schools in conducting VPR in the 11th grade is not mandatory; the decision will be made by the educational organization itself.
